We are excited to share the collaborative efforts of NASDO and several local NGOs in a recent workshop organized by Save the Children Somalia. The workshop focused on the development of a Localization Action Plan for the Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and Education Cluster. Together, we are determined to make a positive impact on the lives of communities in Somalia.

This workshop, held on 06/03/2024 at Jazeera hotel mogadishu Somalia, was a platform for fruitful discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative planning. Representatives from various local NGOs, governmental bodies, community leaders, and subject matter experts gathered to address the pressing challenges faced by communities in Somalia.

The participation of NASDO and other local NGOs played a crucial role in shaping the discussions. Drawing from our extensive experience working closely with communities, we shared valuable insights, practical approaches, and best practices. Our aim was to develop a comprehensive Localization Action Plan that addresses the complex interconnections between nutrition, WASH, and education, with a strong emphasis on community empowerment.

We are proud to announce that the workshop resulted in the formulation of an actionable Localization Action Plan. This plan outlines specific objectives, activities, timelines, and assigns responsibilities to ensure local ownership, sustainability, and measurable impact. It reflects our joint commitment to improving access to nutritious food, clean water and sanitation facilities, and quality education for all.

NASDO and other local NGOs are now actively engaged in implementing the Localization Action Plan in collaboration with Save the Children Somalia and other stakeholders. Together, we believe in the transformative power of collective action. We are committed to working hand in hand with communities, empowering them to shape their own futures and create lasting change.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Save the Children Somalia for organizing this essential workshop. Their dedication to community development and their commitment to fostering collaboration among various stakeholders are commendable. Our gratitude also goes to all the participants who contributed their knowledge, expertise, and passion to make this workshop a success.

Stay tuned as we keep you updated on our progress and the impact we make through the implementation of the Localization Action Plan. Together, we can build resilient communities, improve lives, and create a brighter future for all.
