FGM and public health awareness

Community education on FGM, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, and other public health issues with the Ministry of Health and universities.

Awareness is part of NASDO’s name for a reason. Alongside nutrition and clinic work, teams run sessions on Female Genital Mutilation, HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases, and diabetes.

NASDO has collaborated with the Federal Ministry of Health and Benadir University on diabetes awareness training, joined World Diabetes Day events in Mogadishu, and taken part in the National Technical Working Group on NCDs.
