NASDO participates in the National Climate Outlook Forum — Gu 2026
NASDO leadership engaged in Mogadishu's Gu 2026 climate forum to review seasonal rainfall predictions, drought vulnerabilities, and early warning systems. Participating in these vital discussions equips the organization to proactively coordinate nutrition, water, and sanitation initiatives for vulnerable communities ahead of environmental shocks.
NASDO Executive Director Abdulrahman Mohamed Hassan took part in the National Climate Outlook Forum for the Gu 2026 season, inaugurated in Mogadishu.
The forum presented the Gu rainfall forecast, examined potential drought impacts, and highlighted early warning systems and climate information services for risk-informed decisions.
Climate shocks drive malnutrition, displacement, and waterborne disease in the communities NASDO serves. Sitting in these forums helps the organisation plan nutrition, WASH, and outreach before the rains or the dry season arrive.
